Wordle is a website that lets users create pieces of art with words. It's very easy friendly and is quick to use. The user types in several words he or she wishes to have in the collage, or they can submit a website link for a collage to be created from words on that website. Once the collage is made, users can change the appearance of the project regarding colors, fonts, and sizes of the words.
It's extremely easy to use. This program would be good for young students to use. They can create collages of words to describe something. For example, they can create a collage like the sample above about a certain season, person, or book character. My mother teaches second grade and she uses this website with her class. For Mother's Day and Father's Day projects her class makes collages of words describing their parents. Also, she'll create collages of different adjective words. Or, a teacher could create a collage of vocabulary words that his or her students need to know. I believe this program would be best used in English or art classes. It can also be used by individuals or with groups. In both situations, students will be able to come up with many words on any subject.
It could be inspirational for students because it will cause them to think more about a certain topic they're studying. Since they have to come up with words to describe it they can even further understand the subject. The best feature of this website is the availability to add many words to make the collage. It enables the user to have as few or as many words as he or she wishes.

Although it is a website that both students and teachers can use, and it's quick and user-friendly, I see minimal use for it in the classroom. Besides the aforementioned cases in which wordle can be used at school, I cannot think of too many more situations. One improvement could be the option to add descriptions or definitions for each word. This way, a student could perhaps hover over or click on a word and it will give the description or definition of the chosen word.
