There are games for each subject in school, as well as games to help build basic developmental skills. While not all games are full of educational value and are more based for entertainment, a majority of them have some sort of value in the classroom.
Time For Kids - This is a great website to help kids learn about important events in society. There are hundreds of current event articles, as well as articles discussing historical events. The website also includes fun games, photos and videos.
Brain Pop - This website is full of many educational activities. There are programs for every subject in school, from art to math to health, to everything in between. The games are both informative and entertaining. I recommend this site to every classroom.
FunSchool - This is another great website for young students. It has tons of games that are both enjoyable to play and teach a lesson to the students. The catchphrase on the website is, "We make learning fun!", which is exactly what they do! There are games pertaining to science, math, history, and other important subjects.
